Karate Camp 2015
On the 27th of June 2015, Club Karate-Do of Penang Chinese Girls’ High School hosted Karate-Do Camp 2015 in the school’s stadium. Exposure to karate tournaments and enhancing team-building spirit was the aim of Karate-Do Camp 2015.The excitement started at 10am and lasted for two hours.Karate-Do Club of St George’s Girls’ High School was invited to participate as a friendly invitation. The camp was divided into two events- Kata and Team Kumite. The kata events were then split into junior and senior kata group according to belt colour.

After the Kata Event, the participants were divided into four groups for the Kumite Event that begin at 11am.

After a short break and photo-taking session, prize giving ceremony proceeded at 11.45 am. The teacher in charge gave a short speech to congratulate the winners and thanked everyone for attending the camp. The president of Karate Club also thanked the judges that made the camp a sucess. Gold, silver and bronze trophys were awarded for both events to encourage students to keep on striving in karate.

At 12 pm, Karate-Do Camp 2015 organised by the commitee of Karate-Do Club of Penang Chinese Girls’ High School ended on a happy note. It was a good experience for all to cherish. We hope that a memorable event like this can be sucessfully organised again next year.
